The BSA Manager manages the overall activities of the BSA team, controls compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all other applicable laws. Responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of BSA Analysts. Reports to the BSA Officer.
Administer the bank's BSA program. Develop and/or revise policies, procedures, and programs in support of the administration of the bank's BSA program.
Develop and deploy enterprise wide training.
Assists with the administration of anti-money laundering/OFAC software to monitor and report all BSA-related activities to management as directed.
Develop compliance review schedule, work papers, and reports. Ensure schedule is adhered to.
Address regulatory changes that impact the business units.
Perform enterprise wide BSA/AML, Sanctions, Fraud, and Identity Theft Risk Assessments
Responsible for training staff on the banks procedures, regulatory policies, and necessary disclosures.
Performs regulatory research in response to business unit compliance inquiries, projects, and changes while communicating.
Report metrics on key performance and risk indicators.
Develop and maintain departmental procedures.
Coordinating and assisting in the administration of independent, state, and federal regulator and auditor examinations and reviews.
Collaborate across the organization on items to support the bank-wide compliance program.
Develop skills of BSA Analysts and perform regular performance evaluations.
Must possess excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Must have the ability to work and effectively communication with all levels of management, branch network, and internal departments.
Ability to build relationships using teamwork, problem identification, and problem solution skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and a balanced perspective.
Experience with BSA monitoring software required.
Experience specifically related to higher risk related reviews and subpoenas.
Must be comfortable in shifting priorities.
Must have thorough understanding of general bank principles; thorough knowledge of federal regulations affecting AML, BSA, and OFAC.
Must be computer proficient in MS Software (e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook) and internet savvy.
6-10 years’ experience with compliance laws and regulations, legal field or auditing required.
